Sequoya & Town of Rindge Lend a Hand to Ingalls Library

Rindge, NH, Aug 11 – The Ingalls Memorial Library recently received a new laptop at greatly reduced cost, thanks to the charitable efforts of Sequoya Technologies and the Town of Rindge. Sequoya has served the Town's IT support needs for several years through its state-of-the-art monitoring and maintenance system, ITSentry™.

“We are very pleased that Sequoya helped the Library get a new laptop,” said Carlotta Pini, Rindge Town Administrator. “The company provides excellent customer service, and their charitable donation program is a bonus!”

When Sequoya introduced their innovative charitable donation program late last year, Rindge jumped at the chance. Through this program, Sequoya clients can designate any non-profit organization in the Monadnock region to receive a donation from Sequoya on its behalf. The Town of Rindge designated its neighbor up the road, the Ingalls Memorial Library.

Every month, Sequoya credited the library's account with a donation equal to 5% of the Town's ITSentry plan fee. When the credits had accumulated enough, Ingalls decided to buy a laptop for patrons to use within the library.

Sequoya found an inexpensive model that suited the library's needs and got it set up and ready to go. Last Wednesday, it was delivered to some very happy librarians at Ingalls.

“The staff at the Library is grateful to be able to provide a new computer with Internet access to our patrons, thanks to the generosity of the Town of Rindge and Sequoya Technologies Group. We had not planned any computer purchases this year, given the economic times, but we can sure use it. Our numbers have increased over 65% for Internet/wireless services this year alone,” said Diane Gardenour, Ingalls Memorial Library Director.

“We're really pleased at how well the donation program has been working,” said Tom Strickland, president of Sequoya Technologies. “Our clients like being involved, and we can do more for the community this way than if we were just writing checks. We've already seen several real success stories, and I know this is just the beginning. It's very fulfilling to be able to give back.”
